Hi David,

Here is a link to www.elvingtonlake.co.uk

The directions are in the 'Directions' page plus there is an easy finder at the bottom of that page that gives you directions from your postcode to the fishery's. (You'll need this> YO41 4AZ )

Ceya there, Dave

Mr David Platt sir,
Uou won't need directions, I will be in the local pub on the Friday night. I'll have a beer poured for you. I know you'll find the place then with no trouble.
Best wishes, see you in July.

Geoff

Not sure what name of pub is but I got 6 months to find out.
If I could brave a tent in mid december then a tent in yorkshire for a hardened southerner is no problem.

Hi everyone,

The two nearest pubs are the Grey Horse in Elvington Village (John Smiths Brewery) and the Wenlock in Wheldrake (a free house) with a very nice Caffreys beer-toast1.gif

When you go up Les say hello to Stan for us

Les,

As we get nearer 23rd, you're tempting me!

Get 10 day forecast for 23rd soon!
What time you gonna be there?

I,ve just discovered I pass Elvington on way to Castle Howard!
Be nice to meet for a mini fish-in!

And we'll be able to find out the True Question that Mookie should have asked! Of course they'll have Guinness!, but will they have the ICE cold pump on in July?

The things I have to do in the name of Research! sigh!
Well , I suppose someone has too!

Les,
OK, On 23rd, we'll have an 18mph wind from the WSW, 7 deg temp and a 20% chance of rain!
Not bad for feb!
I've booked 2 tickets and I'll be speaking to Stan later in week.
Mookie,
Yeah , Guinness is of course on in pub and its very close!
No extra cold as yet and it wasn't too good, but they had to change barrel during serving me and Stu!
Never right until settled, but passable.
Only charge 1 pint fot the info!, cheap as its a 180 mile round trip for me!
But I did get a bit of fishing in at nearby Castle Howard lol
