Elastic for 8m pole

Hi guys
Looking to get a 8m pole for fishing on our local canal for silvers probably up to 1/2 pound, what size elastic would be recomended to use.

Haven't done much canal fishing for a few years but we always used No3.

I find a No.4 solid covers everything I am likely to catch from the canal. I have had bream to 2-3lb on it, squeaky bum time but its fun.

Middy purple (4-6). And if you get a spare top kit the orange (6-8).

Preston slik blue no5 solid is my go to elastic for canals. Soon be bread punch time and I love a day on the punch using this set up. It's soft on the strike and can handle the odd bonus fish with a pulla fitted.

Middy hi viz 4-6 solid with a puller bung.
Use this on stillwaters in winter, soft enough for silvers and can handle bonus fish.
