Drennan Forged Match Hooks

Hi Guys, Any one know where i can get hold of some of the above hooks in size 18s cheers and tight lines roachman

I think you will be very lucky to find any of these old hooks as they were discontinued many years ago.

Yes I know , just wondered if any of the guys on here may have some they don't use

I thought that might be the case but given that they were discontinued 15 years ago although some shops may have carried stocks later than this I would expect most anglers who used them will have used them up over the years especially in that size which was the most popular as I recall.

Yes I know , I'm down to my last 20 of 18s and last 30 of 16s ,so just thought I would try on the off chance

Kamasan b920 may be an option - although they look finer in the wire from the pics I've seen

I have a couple of old packs of 12 and 14 forged match that I used for chopped worm fishing for beasties. Very strong hooks.

Hi , yes I do use the b920 , like you say its not as strong as the Drennan Forged match , do you still use your 14s and 12s

sorry - that should have been present tense - yes I still use them - also for luncheon meat fishing for barbel!

it's the only true crystal bend I use now - apart from using up my 90340s on pleasure days!

Just call the Drennan office 01865 748989 and ask if they have any residue stocks - boxes or packets. If they have then just get your local shop to order a trade pack (10 packets of 10 or 5 boxes of 25) together with their next order.
