Dream session on the wye! PBS smashed

Friday and it was time to head down to the wye with my mate for only my second ever time. Tge river up and carrying colour it was a river state alien to me used to fishing a float.

Searching out a slack we set up a rod a piece and the action was instant with two barbel on the bank. It took till 1pm for action to really kick in and boy did it, breaking my 8lb14oz pb barbel with a 9lb14oz fish only for.moments later to smash it again with a 10lb11oz fish!! was blown away when session ended with a 10pb fish on nose. 22 barbel between us it was a dream session

i love fishing and the places it takes you tye wye valley in autmn is spectacular....video on channel in coming weeks

Danny the Wye is a hell of a river to fish. It supports the view that there was s more to fishing than catching fish, it and s a beautiful part of the world. Whereabouts were you fishing as I know the river reasonably well below Ross out towards Lydbrook. I hope you managed to catch using the float preferably with a centrepin. I don't think fishing gets any better than that.

cheers guys they 9lb14oz was enough fpor m,e I was buzzing after that ut to get the others well, just icing on cake, video will be up in coming weeks lads but barbell is on the channel this friday

Cheers lads, having only tried barbell fishing last year once or twice I have to say now the pikings arrived im torn, I know the waters I pike fish are good in October but the lure of these is in the back of my mind, can not believe not done this sooner
