When you arrange for a builder to turn up to do a job and you call to ask when he's coming, and he says... "I'm sure I arranged it for tomorrow" when yer staring at the text message he sent you saying today... fekkin twunt...

The only upside to today is my new book has just arrived in me Audible Library... Mythos by Stephen Fry...
To be fair I've got the p!ss for a few reasons... I've got to lash out a bomb on getting the conservatory insulated, so gotta get a few jobs done, her indoors is working from home Permanently so no peace during the day, I have a load of stuff to move with her in the flippin way and my fishing has got to take a back seat as my flippin calendar is full because she keeps filling up odd gaps with various tasks and to top all that its me 64th birthday this week and I'm less than joyful about it... so if I'm less than my usual top billing I apologise... normal service will be resumed when the "Office" roof is sorted... I bloody hope

A perfect example of why I feel very fortunate to be able to call on the services of @Dave :upthumb: removes all that sort of aggro.

Would you be happy with him carrying out the work in the rain?

Addendum.... Builder promised he'd be here by 09.30 this morning... well that came and went and by 10.40 I was ticking... no call, no text, nuffink... so I call him... he says... "Sorry, in the middle of a job at the mo" so "when are you coming?" sez me... "I dunno" sez him... "forget it" sez me and put the phone down...
I hate being p!ssed about... 2 broken appointments = fek off... got a bloke coming Thursday to give a quote...

No probs... he's out of the picture... my take on it is, if he can afford to mess folk about like that, he didn't want or need the job in the first place... so he can get ****ed

Nothing boils my p*ss more than people who don’t turn up when promised. I am with @Arry. 2 strikes And your out. I accept that sometimes things crop up, and it’s unavoidable but communication is a wonderful thing. Simply not turning up to an appointment is inexcusable.
