Last time I fished Furnace Mill I took some Dendros hoping to snag one of the big resident Perch or Bream and ended up with a 4oz Crucian and a few Ide. Ide seem to love them too? I will carry on taking them as on the right venue, right day, I can see how they could be the best winter bait.

I trickle a few bits of chopped worm and maggot down the inside line while fishing further out. Later in the day I will run a float through, run it through held back or stret peg. Pick up a few bonus perch and the odd chub before packing up time.

I always have a small match pack of worms, in winter, they've got me in the money on more than one occasion, mainly fish commercials and lakes, wouldn't bother in summer
