I suppose my reason for the post, was from watching YouTube vids such as Jamie Hughes and Andy May often talking about putting a few Silvers in the net on a match, until the carp switch on in the last hour or so.
This obviously sounded exactly what happened to me, and suggests it's common on a lot of fisheries.
However, it doesn't change the fact that the fish could have backed off, or I hadn't got the feeding quite right as others have suggested
