Hi All,

For the first time in ages I watched Go Fishing with John Wilson on TV.

He was fishing the Upper Great Ouse for Perch using lobworms. Initially he started free-lining a massive lob on a size 2 hook but to no avail later switching tactics to ledger.
He used a long link with swan shot as weight and an even longer hook length again with a lobworm on a size 2 and caught a 3lb 12oz Perch!!

It's the biggest Perch I've seen.

Missed that one but;
Up this way (Suffolk) the guy use to take a bit of stick e.g Oh, if I could get to the waters he can then I would catch the same/more as/than him etc and some of his mannerisms can be tiresome but at the end of the day he has landed specimen fish that I can only dream about (his bag of double figure bream from a Norfolk stillwater is a regular on my player)and there can't be very many who can offer a personal best list better than his, I certainly wish I possessed his watercraft.
All in all a bl##dy good angler!!!
Bards.
