Am after a decent 13m pole stiff, responsive but capable of landing a clump if hooked under £500, Was looking at Preston protype x200 or matrix Mtx1 but have come across the diawa power carp x and believe that diawa poles are supposed to be the best.
Any reviews or comments ?

I don’t think any brands of pole are the best per se. It all comes own to what suits the angler.
I would say for your budget to try and get down to a shop with a pole alley and see what you like the feel of.
Probably 99% of poles on the market today are geared towards commercial carp fishing and all the poles you mention will be capable of landing double figures fish.

I think nearly every pole I've owned has been like that
