Well it's polling day in Wales, I am looking at the list of candidates and really want another box on the bottom of the ballot paper saying 'none of the above'

Labour........been in power for 20 odd years done absolutely nothing have delivered very few of previous election promises and spend any cash they do get on vanity projects yet the education system is currently the worst in the UK the NHS in wales is underfunded and understaffed, the transport network and roads are in a very poor state ...the list goes on .....but hey I can get a free prescription for paracetamol
Tory.....waste of a vote as not many people in South wales would consider voting tory as their fathers and fathers before them always voted labour
Plaid.....not voting for a bunch of nationalist nutters whose only real policy is to get independence from the UK with no thought to the real consequences of such a move
Welsh Independence Party.....See above but not as bright
Lib Dem.......No real policy as per the National Lib Dem party
Reform UK .......UKIP under another name although some of the sentiment is good, they have to much baggage in other parts of their policy for me to vote for them
Abolish the Welsh assembly Party.......I quite like this one as obviously he has no long term political ambition as once they have done what they say they are going to do they will be out of a job, plus I do see some sense in abolishing the assembly as in it's current guise it is a massive money pit. However they only have one policy which is not going to happen overnight so I don't think they would be fit to govern until they manage to abolish the assembly.

So that is my choice, nothing stands out as being worth a vote, not even an independent candidate that you could sort of put a little trust in ......Where is the Monster Raving Looney Party when you need them...?

The politicians in Wales have been complaining about the M4 in Wales for years, first the cost of the crossing into Wales over the Severn (now free) and the bottleneck of the Bryn Glas tunnels by junctions 25/26. They have spent a lot of money in Wales developing plans for a new road round Newport to avoid the Bryn Glas tunnels only for the leader of the Assembly to drop the idea. Some £114 million wasted!!!!!

I agree about the NHS in Wales, my wife had to have her Gall bladder removed, three times she went to the hospital only to be sent home the next day as they could not do the operation, 4th time lucky. I had an appointment with a specialist about the arthritis in my hips in March 2013, I was given injections in both hips and was told there would be a follow up appointment in 6 months. I moved from Wales in September 2015 and had heard nothing from the hospital.

Spoil your paper, that's the closest thing to none of the above.

Moved to postal voting a few years ago.

No vote - no complaint about the outcome.

I do believe voting should be compulsory but then you need a None Of The Above box. And the Friday after a GE should be a bank holiday.

I had to have a scan on my back and waited 9 months for an appointment, when I got there the girl doing the scan said they had bought 4 new MRI scanners at massive cost but only had enough staff to run one at a time hence the long waiting lists. When I lived in the northeast I went to see my GP who told me I needed a scan, he logged into the hospital booking site and booked me a scan for 2 days later......the GP's in wales are still writing letters to book hospital appointments ffs.

You don't need to tell me about the M4 it is a disgrace that the money was spent on study after study everyone of the gave the same answer some sort of relief road was needed around Newport with several schemes proposed, yet the labour government under drakeford decided they knew better and instead of a relief road they would lower the speed limit .....you couldn't make it up

slightly unfair in the Lib Dems in your précis at the top ... and the Senedd does have limited powers.

I’m amazed at how many “independence” parties thee are in Wales ... it’s like the people’s front of Judea!!

The Senedd has enough power to make a difference to every day issues in Wales they just choose not to and spend much of their time managing vanity projects and proving how Welsh they are then when it comes to addressing the real issues they trot out the old chestnut of blaming westminster for not giving wales enough cash.

Maybe I was a bit harsh on the Lib Dems but to be fair their policies are pretty weak lots of empty promises and no real meat on the bones. As for the independence parties yes you are right it appears every village in Wales has one however the membership of each one is counted in tens not thousands

2 horse race for the Mayor of Londinistan, I can see Sodin Kant getting in again, people voting for one of their own, not because of his party.
