Hi Gents,
Any suggestions for the above ? As much as anything, just a picturesque, quiet water to take someone who gets very little opportunity to get out, with the chance of a few bites.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There is a Berkhampstead and District Angling Ass with a website. They appear to have 2 ponds.

Not many I can think of around Berkhamsted. You could go on the many miles of canal there or go to Tring reservoir...just up the road. Different canals around Tring too ie Wendover arm, Aylesbury arm and of course the GU there, There is a day ticket lake in Kings Langley; Gaywoods Fishery.( I have never fished there)
Most of the others are private or club fisheries.
If you're prepared to travel a few more miles Lakeside at Cublington and 3 Islands at Stewkley. Both of these would suit your preferences

Not too much choice for day ticket lakes around Berkhamsted. You'd be looking at 20-25 min drive to get to anything decent. But as already mentioned there is a good section of the Grand Union canal to go at, and quite a few spots local to Berkhamsted can be fished for free as far as I am aware.

It's a bit of a dead spot...

Pixies Mere used to be good, but its members only now I believe

Boxmoor DAS have a few lakes over that way

Gaywoods is closed I believe

Kings Langley have a few waters

And might be worth checking out the Vauxhall Club and Veralum

Then there's the reservoirs at Tring

Albans lakes Albans Lakes (bit further afield)

Toddington Toddington Fishery | Fishing in Toddington | Bedfordshire | Dunstable | Leighton Buzzard | Woburn | Milton Keynes - Toddington Fisheries

Then really you're looking at club etc. There's not much day ticket around.
