Hi folks,

First time poster, ive recently moved to dargavel village near bishopton in scotland. Im trying to find out if anyone has any information on the two lakes situated at the edge of the development. To me they look as if they have major potential, has anyone on the forum any idea what species they contain if any.

Thanks in advance.

I work for the company that used to own the site and spent 10 months on the site working on the closure. During that time I did have a dabble in the lakes a few times, there was a good head of perch in the larger lake along with one or two trout and there are rumours of some large pike and a few chub. The smaller lake wasn't so productive all I seemed to get were small perch and the odd stickleback, I did however get a rogue small roach one day. I didn't get a chance to have a good go at them just a few short lunchtime sessions with a float and some worms so might be worth a look. There is another pond round the back of dargavel house but it is very overgrown
