You won’t get a 4012 for months , none anywhere including Daiwa themselves , informed by Daiwa that unless shops have them already on order it will be October for stock .

the 3012 will be spot on ,4012 a tad overkill for that rod, unless your chucking over the horizon and cranking hard

I fish a 4012 TDR on an 11ft feeder rod and it's a bit big imo, better suited to a 12ft rod methinks.

You could try this for feeder fishing
I have bought from this company, took less than a week to get to me (not this reel) if you want a 3012, they have the original TDX's, about £200

Cracking reel, it's essentially a TDR in sheeps clothing, with 2 less bearings, but for that price it's worth a punt.

I think someone is milking the situation.

That's actually not too steep, oops, yes it is, I was going to link to that one. Probably none in stock. I bought one of these

Have you had one before or is this a blind punt ?
Be interested in your review when it arrives.

Blind punt. Got it, not used it yet, quick drag could be quicker (though not having used one, my idea of quick may be different to others), only one spool, but it seems smooth enough, great retrieval rate, paid half that price as I got it from the shop with the TD feeder reel I linked.

Have used my 3012 TDR for feeder fishing and being a great reel it copes with it but I still want a specialist feeder one for later in the year when I'll be Bream feeder fishing.

Expensive! Some of the ones in the thread look the job!

I managed to get a used Cast'izm 25 QDA from ebay for £180 no box and the handle rubber grippy bit is a bit scuffed but its sound otherwise, doesn't way much more than a 4012 TDR either.

I'm tempted to chuck it in the for sale section, bought it for the likes of Barston and Boddington but then Covid happened and the commercials are rammed now with people. And its not really much use to me on the rivers being an out and out distance reel with no baitrunner.
