Anyone own one and can compare it with other brands of distance feeder rods on the market.

Keep hearing from some of the lads what a great casting rod it is, in the 12ft version and just wondering if they feel compelled to say that now they have spent all that money buying one, or is it actually the best casting feeder rod out there?

Would appreciate genuine feedback from anyone who owns or has used one.

Firstly this is just my opinion before some die hard daiwa fan try’s to slice my head off for even considering other rods - the slr is a stunning rod and really set the benchmark for what can be done - but I find the action a little too firm - the guru Aventus is a slightly better action as it is slightly softer but again effectively same rod - the freespirit distance range ticks all the boxes you can choose between distance or special both can cast to the moon but the special is the perfect action for playing fish

As above the SLR is a bit of a broom handle to be honest, out and out casting tool.

Perfectly fine for carp but i wouldn't use one for silvers.
