Bit of a shortlist really, but thinking about it, I can't think of many more that I would add to the list. How about you?

I've caught 3 out of the 4, with the Ferox Trout eluding me, but I'm pretty pleased to have had the chance to fish for proper Wild Carp on a private pool on the Cadbury Bournville estate when I was younger.

Suppose you could probably add Barbel to the list but if so then where do you stop?

A wild salmon should be on there surely? I’ve always heard that as the holy grail of both difficulty hooking one, and the fight from the fish.

I don't know the first thing about Game Fish to be honest, probably why I've only ever caught the one Brown Trout (and lost one).

I caught mine from the Worcs Stour so was quite pleased, although I have heard of a few in there. The one I lost jumped out the water and looked a decent size, but the hook came out.

I once caught a carp with both lips intact from a commercial fishery.

What about the daddy ruffe surely they are more scarce than gudgeon?

I caught the 3 coarse fish but a long time since I caught a wild carp and Crucian I could be sure was true but I catch Gudgeon regularly.

I caught a few Ruffe from the Grand Union at Small Heath.

I’d say Ruffe, I caught two at docklow last year fish of the week for me I had not caught one before Don’t see them in a Wales
