Can’t really police it like that. What if it was other way around. Say Sterling would play tonight. What if he injured when fixture is rescheduled. Would they have to cancel that match.
It one of them things. Just got to take the rules. Some they win some they lose.

Can Newcastle cancel their games till Ashley sells the club and we have a new manager
We played them on Boxing Day and they beat us easy but looked rubbish compared to normal. Covid maybe.
Is Newcastle v Liverpool in jeopardy on Wednesday as Newcastle players and I noticed a few backroom staff got a bit close

Yes. Probably can’t be any other way.
What would happen if games this week were cancelled for snow.
Same as games would be rescheduled for after January

I think the FA are making the right call in the current circumstances - once a team has a number of cases matches should be cancelled to contain cases more than to ensure the quality of the team.

Going forward (post covid etc) then I think the whole policy needs a revisit - we've had instances in the past of teams being hit with flu or food poisoning etc and being expected to play, so let's have a clear ruling here that everyone can work to. A game should never be cancelled due to injuries though, that's just part of the game.

Villa had to cobble a team together for last night? Could seem and without dismissing the impact and measures that some teams can play one, cancel one, play one?

Same applied to Derby today,it just shows the difference when young lads go up against a team from non league made up of players who are trying hard to get back into or have slowly dropped down the Football League.
