So i needed to get my trays converted to winder trays on my seatbox. Cost of buying kit was about £17 per tray and you can only put one size of winder in. This seems standard across all manufacturers

Soi decided to try to make my own. First thing is the winders are preston. It wont work with other types as the preston curves at the end which is important here

trip to diy shop and I purchased :-
2m plastic angle 20mmx20mm
P shaped draft excluder, it comes in a box no a roll
Exterior double sided tape, interior is cheaper
Total cost £18

first job plan your layout and cut angle to length
Next cut P profile down so just about 3mm is on the straight
Attach the P section to the angle so the gap at base is 3mm dont align to the top

next inster a couple of winders and work out exactly where you want the winders to fit. There should be movement of the winder once its in position from end to end

once yiu have done above you can stick it down

method is totally reversible, hopefully pics explain better
😀

Great idea (y)

I've used plastic angle to make dividers in my trays
