A second visit to a new club pond this afternoon in blustery and rain threatening weather, but fortunately it did manage to stay dry.

I had maggots this time, and as expected based on the first trip there these produced a procession of tiny rudd with a few tiny roach and perch on the waggler. The size of the roach then slowly increased, with several in the 6-8oz range and a couple of 1lbish fish.

A second rod fished with a method feeder produced steadily all afternoon and ended up with 7 bream mostly in the 2-2.5lb range.

A late change on the waggler to luncheon meat to see if this would increase the average size produced a few more small rudd, two decent roach, a foulhooked bream and a decent hybrid.

A better result than I expected :), probably helped by being the only one on the small pond for all but the last hour.

A patchy afternoon here yesterday.

The method feeder rod produced a bream first cast within a minute and then only knocks until another bream last cast.

The float rod produced in spells using a bigger bait to try to deter the smaller rudd. There was one good spell of various sized rudd with a few netters, a good spell of 3-5oz perch on worm section and an occasional bream at random intervals. The bream finally settled in the swim late on and a run of 1.5-2lb fish boosted the catch total to 25lbish.

A steady afternoon today at a very breezy pool. Five bream and a chunky roach/bream hybrid on the method feeder rod and lots of tiny roach on the float rod. The tiddler activity brought the perch in, with several around 4oz and two decent ones, the best at a pound and a half.
