Ray,
Sorry if this is irrelevant, as you specify 'clip-ons'and what follows is ordinary Polaroids, but anyway!

As I was reading your post, the Postman (Letter carrying version) knocked to deliver MY new Polaroids!

I only placed mail order on monday evening! , so I was pleased to recieve some 36 hours later!

The firm concerned is in Scotland and do a range of cheap, but effective true Polaroid lens glasses. (Just right for a losing, breaking, dropping or sitting on Zippy!.
I also get a free rubber AND cord retainer!!!!(Well)

4 models (I chose 3rd 1 down as they have anti glare side glass) all at 9.99 each + 1.60 1st class delivery.
Take cards.Look as though the frames will take even my abuse for a time!

No fashion prizes, or pulling power!!! LOL, but Polaroid 0.75mm lens UV400 protection.

site is www.tacklebargains.co.uk

Cheers

they sound pretty good trev (and at a reasonable price) but i want the clip on type that flip up, i have seen adverts in mags in the past but as is typical when ya want something theres no sign of an advert. i am going to contact "tackle bargains" anyway as they may be able to point me in the right direction.

The only suggestion I can make is have you checked out the chemists in your area. Or the chemists in the local supermarkets. These tend to have a display of all types of sunglasses, admitadely mostly uv filters but there are some polerised glasses amongst them.

chill out go fishing

Ray have a look in Boots most of there opticians shops do them.

Also you could try any tackle shop that sells John Wilsons gear.

Be lucky,
Del.

thanks for the info gents.
dave, my local gigmaker can do me polaroids but they are fairly expensive (prescription ones), i am going to make some enquirys into the wilson ones, in theory they should be better as they are designed with fishermen in mind.

once again thanks chaps.... thumbsup.gif

The above link will tell you about really specialist Polaroids Ray, although they are very derogatory to clip ons.
I,ve always understood that clip ons a} break easily and b) are increasingly inefficient as your normal lens gets thicker.
This site is hellishly dear for a pair of Polaroids thogh LOL.

Ray,
just go to Boots mate, about 6:99p, i've used clip-ons since Noah built his Ark, driving, holidays, also defuses the glare from the missus icon_smile_cool.gif....
i always have a spare pair in my car.
