Hello all , I just though this link might be of interest.

http://xvella.free.fr/photos-eng.php3?size=0&sub=21&id=381

Any thoughts?

It looks huge, even to the size of the 308lbs it was claimed as?a NEW WORLD RECORD MAYBE

Its a shame that it died, and also i have seen dead fish in various
states of decay, this fish looks dead a long time, look at the necrosis on the head and body, and the eye colour.I bet it stank.

been dead for a few days that one!! No-one caught that with rod and line.

We caught a 16lb 5oz zander on the Ashby Canal at the start of last week. Biggest dam Zan i have ever clapped eyes on.

Urrgh, certainly looks well dead to me [:D]

Fish rot 7 times faster in water than in air so you can imagine the smell. Plus if you've ever handled a dead fish that has been in water for a couple of days, you cannot scrub the smell from your hands so gawd knows what those two smelt like afterwards
