Hi Dooby
the obvious answer is you get what you pay for.
I would think about what you actualy need for the fish you will be going for.
If you price the items individualy they would come to more than the asking price, so in that way they are a bargain.
I believe the reels are o.k. the rods?
For basic kit I guess its fine.
And as long as it enables you to get out and fish,in the style you want to fish then thats all that matters.
It costs more than that to sit home watching telly!!

I agree very basic tackle but still a good price for entry level tackle. If you do decide to go for it I strongly suggest you go for the bait runner option. It would give more flexability and you dont have to use the bait runner system if you dont want to.
I have a pair of the dynadrags and am impressed by them.

chill out go fishing

Gavin, ring Garry Evans in Cardiff 02920619828 tell him what you have seen in the mags and he will normaly match the price, very often with better quality gear, and its local if you have any problems.

I now buy all my tackle from him and cant fault the service or the tackle

Alright Dooby, the deals seem pretty good for a basic range,I personally think taking your time and building your tackle up slowly and getting the tackle you really want/need would be a better idea.

Hi Dooby,
I took over 3 year's to get my carp gear together you only get what you pay for &in my book buyiny cheap mean's buying twice.
Ive only bought what is known as top quality gear. & you actually need to look at the gear, hold it feel it set up etc,
I'm not very good at explaining what i want to say ,perhap's other's can express what i mean in word's better. Read write up's on carp gear gear,ie rod's reel's ,holdall;s line hook's etc .
I'm very sceptical about these so called cheap deal's on all in gear.If it's good gear why are they selling it off
. You never here of Roll's Royce's bieng sold of cheap because thre's no need to sell them cheap because their name alone spell's quality , same as fishing tackle tackle, Same as Daiwa,Grey's,Shimano,Fox, Nash,Century, etc.

dooby.

I know it might sound like a cheepie but last year I bought the carp set from Argos. 39.99. Kingfisher rod, but made by Leeda. The reel is quite good as well, and it serves me OK.

I will have it with me on 22 March if you want to check it out.
