I got my eyes on jrc cocoon 10ft 3lb rod as my stalking carp / deadbait rod. It says it's got semiparabolic action. What do you think? Will it work for both species? Planning to use it for carp stalking and floater and for deadbaiting for pike as well. Any thoughts and suggestions?

Providing you only use it for small deadbaits and not whole herring or mackerel I think it would be okay...

Have a look at the Wychwood Extricators. nice rods for the money and at 10ft, 3lb test they are what I use for most of my Pike margin/short distance/boat work.

As long as you're not going for really big chucks with a 4oz lead and heavy deadbait I think a 10ft 3lb carp rod will do the trick.
