Hello

We are off to New York in August. I was wondering if anyone can recommend Car Parking at Heathrow Airport.

A work colleague had a horror story with one company he used to come back to find out his car had been "broken into" whilst he was away.

Thanks in advance.

ask around on websites you use and see if anybody lives within easy distance of the airport and how much they'd want to let you park on their driveway while you're away [;)]

We use Purple Parking at Heathrow. Cars are in secure parking and courtesy bus to take you to the terminals.

I use APH which is another reputable reliable company. Secure parking and they drop you off and pick you up.
Wouldn't advise using one of the amateurs, that's where the horror stories come from.

As has already been said above, Purple Parking at Heathrow. We've used them many times and they've always been very good. Parking is secure and the shuttle to the Airport is regular and quick.

As an aside, we're of to NYC in July [:D]

Apparently not all the parking firms at Heathrow offer secure parking.

There are risks with all forms of parking at the majority of airports ranging from dents and dings from careless parking to blatant inappropriate behaviour with some of the outside contractors. I've just read that even some of the pricier options offering meet and greet have found drivers receiving parking tickets when cars have been parked up illegally.

The only true safe way is not to take your car but obviously that's not always possible so you pays yer money and take your chances I'm afraid.

These were meet and greet. At Purple Parking you drop the car off at their secure compound.

Yep, don't trust meet and greet, they just take your money and park it down some back street! Go for ARP or Purple and it is parked in a secure compound and they drop you at the terminal by shuttle service.

We're of to spend a couple of days at the US Open Tennis plus the usual sight seeing.

Sounds good!

We're doing the usual sightseeing and then have a couple of days booked to fly up to Niagra.
