Does anyone have any decent information on carp fishing in Canada?

Friend of mine is going over there next weekend and is struggling to find any good information on the net.

He's staying near a place called Peterborough, which is just north of Lake Ontario. He's fishing some lakes called the "Trent Seven System" (or something like that) and is trying to find some information regarding bait and location.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Visited the Niagara area many times, never fished but took a good look around. The Welland river shouts carp, especially in the Brantford area. The Welland Ship Canal looks promising but a bit overwhelming to me. Lookout for mossies, they'll eat you to death.

Hi Simon,

The Trent-Severn system goes through a series of lakes known as the Kawartha's linked by sections of canals and the Ontonabee River.

At Peterborough is the Lift-Locks that lift craft 70 foot in one hit!

Two sites that would help are:-
www.ontariofishing.net
www.fish-hawk.net

Never Carp fished in the area but generally great fishing to be had,
my sister lives in Peterborough hope your friend has a good time.
Regards
Mick
