Try the Shimano Hyperloops. I have two and have used them for the last season with no problems. The two that I have are 2.5lb and 2.25lb test curves. If I had to pick from them I would say the 2.5lb is the better only because it handles heavier weights better on casting.
There's no sign of wear on the rings, the rods have kept there appearance and for around 35.00 each (shop around tho') you could get yourself three for 100
If its a carp match rod you are after try the keenets club match 390.
For a match rod it has a test curve of about 1.25lb and came out on top in a tackle test in one of the fishing monthly's recently.
I have one and is is the bizz.
