camera/pc help please

Help please guys[:H].
My wife has loaded her camera disc onto the pc (tower) but cannot view any pics,keeps coming up with cannot recognise camera,system pc runs on is Windows XP.Any ideas please people.[:H]

paul google the make and model of camera and download latest drivers ,that might be the problem

This may be a pain to do:

Has it uploaded pics from the camera before with no problems. [?]

If it has,just uninstall all the software for the camera that's on the PC and then re-install it.Then try it.

I have "tweaked" my PC and found some of the things that worked perfectly before my tweaking didn't work after. []

All i did was uninstall/re-install and all was fine.

Failing that buy a Polaroid camera and a scanner. [)]

[] Sounds like the camera disc is not loading properly, de install it, and re run the camera disc.
What Camera is it your using ?

Most cameras dont need software, Mine didnt although I did install sony Picture browser as I can manage the pics better.

try using a card reader plugged into usb port xp should recognize it and ask you if you wish to use windows to download the files

Should have mentioned the card reader for that particular card doesn't work anymore cos that's how we used to do it.[:W]
