Hey all i wanna do a bit of carping over the next comin weeks,
The lake i fish as Mirrors and commons in and they go for ought a man today while i was walking round caught a 10lb mirror on little hot dog balls???? (bought from Asda)

it would help if you could explain bolt rig with diagrams i have made some hair rigs today with a size 6 hook ( barbless ) and 6lb mainline is that ok????????
So any help would be grateful.

alright gaz the hair rig sounds alright to me although i catch my carp usin a size 12 hook with 8 pound line on a korum method feeder using sweetcorn

I'm glad you asked before using a fixed lead as it can often be mis-used as a bolt rig.

Hot dog balls buy a tin of hot dogs, cut in to pieces to match the length of the hair. Although its just as easy to side hook the pieces. If the water is clear of snags then yes 6lb may be ok, I would feel happier with 8lb min.

No esox It this german make u buy frm asda and there hotdogs but all ready made like big bollies....
