Get one of these, much, much better than an umbrella, no heavier than a brolly, but better protection, and they go up and pack away in seconds.

I fished in a very bad storm week before last, I did stop fishing when it was Lightning, but just zipped the front up and sat there till it stopped.
I know you will have a job to get one perhaps for this friday, but they are really worth considering
