Ray,
This may sound stupid, butits true.
I bought a pair from Askari, and only paid 5 each!
Been using them sice January and cant fault them.

I got Trogg a couple added to my last order on offer at 3.50 each!

Dont know what they are now, but he should be able to tell you if his are ok.

Also check out used tackle in the comics they do some bargains. I had 2 from there and yes one played up but they replaced it no trouble. Then I find out Troggs are the same indicators but with another name on them. John

Ray,
I have found them very good and they always go off ok for me when used for piking!

I have not done any carp fishing with them , but they have 2 indicator lights on, and tone and volume control.
Esox knows the features better than me, and I believe they lack something in the drop-back area, but I dont know what, as since he supplied me a couple of drop back weight indicators, they work both ways!
Without any experience of Optronics, delkims etc. I cant really compare, only to say that I am very satisfied with all 4 of mine and the only single problem I ever had proved to be a dud battery!

Cheers

Trev
PS I'll bring them to the next fish-in if you like!

The ones I got and trogg did are a direct steal from optonic same circuits and wheel light beam breaker but different style case. Mine are marked Keenets. They also come with a 4 and 2 paddle wheel just like the optonics. And Brass screw fitting + case think I paid 14/15 for a pair.

I dont think that they are of the same quality as optonics but hell what a price difference. I have used mine for 12 months now and see no reasons to change them. When they do go to meet there maker I will be looking for something similar to replace them.

As to those used by Trev apart from a dud battery I have heard them go off enough times to know they work well. As he says they all require a drop off indicator for them to work properly. John

thanks gary, got iycf and read about the alarms but i personally would rather ask on here as the info/advice you get is far better than any mag as the guys have been using the products in "real" situations and will tell ya of any faults/problems where as imo the mags only tell ya the good points and products have only been bench tested.
