Evening All,

I'm after a bit of help identifying a silver I've had out of the Severn near Bridgnorth please...

Been a great 2 days despite the blistering temperatures with loads of fish coming out but I'm particularly pleased with the attached 2.

I'm positive the one is a pure roach but the fins on the other are throwing me off... Still pleased as punch regardless but has got me wondering...

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Josh

Quality fish the pair of them. I'd say No.27 was a Roach/Bream hybrid and No.14 a Roach. But what do I know, I only catch Trout and Grayling except the odd Grass Carp :D

Both roach, the Severn often throws up what I call 'long roach' with no depth, gauging the weights of these fish is hard as they are all muscle but that looks a cracker.

Morning all,

Thank you everyone for your input and kind words!

Looks like the majority agree it was a roach after all, now please excuse me whilst I go and cry about the fact I didn't have any scales with me haha!

Cheers

Have to agree, can't see anything in either photo to indicate they are anything other than a lovely brace of Roach..:upthumb:
