I favour the Maver Muletto Master but there are many other decent margin poles on the market, if you get one then add the "Muletto Elastic System" to it and you wont go far wrong.Buy one with an extension as standard is my advice as you never know when that extra metre will be needed!
Theres also the very strong Middy "Shockstick" if you can live with the stigma of owning one lol!
ask half a dozen people, you'll get the same number of alternatives
I've got the Drennan Margin Carp & think it's superb
8.5m, 2 prebushed power kits, short no3, light, stiff & super strong
brilliant & great fun to use
any of the shimano's & garbolino's
Daiwa yank & bank
I'd also consider looking at cheap 11-13m carp poles - sometimes the extra reach can be a big benefit, the leeda & map ranges are pretty reasonable & appear often on ebay dirt cheap so breakages aren't a major catastrophe
Maver Mantis, its 10.5 metres making it one of the longest out there, but fishes well long or short. I have had carp upto 9 1/2 lb on mine without problem. Its a reasonable weight and a very nice action.
