I think the jury is still out on that one Alan [:D]

The forum was down for 4hours last night due to a problem with the IIS (Internet Information Service) on the server. This has now been fixed thanks to Kevin (tekkie) who was on-call last night

Cheers Kevin [:)]

I think that the forensic report will be able to tell a different story Alan.
You may as well tell the truth now and put an end to it all.

Ayeoop everyone,

The Forum went t|ts up again last night and Support were notified.

I took a look at the admin side to see if I can narrow it down a little to see if there is anything maybe from this side that could be causing it and couldn't see anything as such but there is a heck of a lot of demand being made on the server at the moment for some reason [:D]

Here are a few figures:

Most active day February 10, 2003 : 20,617 pages sent. 69,781 requests handled.

Daily average: 14,565 pages sent. 51,154 requests handled.

Month 1. February 2003
Number of requests 818,470
Number of page requests 233,040

Which so far is nearly the amount of traffic that we got in the whole of January but in half of the time !!

Gawden bennet lol

And the tekkies have come back with this:

There was a problem with the Windows web server which would have have resulted in the website being inaccessible for a time. This issue has now been resolved, and we are taking steps to ensure that it does not occur again. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.

So hopefully as we've now got two winding handles on the server instead of one, everything should be back to as near normal as normal is - on here anyway [:D]

Stu!! Keep winding Stu!! lol

Poor old Stu.

Never mind using winding handles mate, told you before a couple of hamsters n you'll be well away. (either that or put a couple of really big wheels in with a mackem in one & a geordie in t'other let them face each other n we'll be able to power half of Britian as well) [:D]

The copper was peeved with little trogg cos my bike was faster than his.

After a 5 mile chase i finally got sick of hearing his cries so i pulled over, when the cop came over to me he took one look & said..............(carefull Norm) "WOW oh god erm sorry sir i didn't realise it was you, i mean its not everyday you bump into a real superstar, erm could i ask you to sign this for me?"

I asked him who it was to & he said "my wife, just put to Norm(a) take care n good luck for the future, Little Trogg" [:D]
