Date : 30/05/02
Event : British Disabled Angling Association Regional Qulifier
Venue : Stockton Reservoir
Time : 11.45am till 4.45pm
Thursday saw 12 members of the British Disabled Angling Association (BDAA) fish at
Stockton Reservoir in one of the Midlands Reginal qulifier's for the BDAA National which
takes place on Wednesday 25th September at Woodlands View.
Dirk is the area organiser for the BDAA and he had asked me if i would be willing to help
out by doing the weigh in which of course i was more than willing to do.
Well i turned up at about 1pm and spent the afternoon walking the bank chattering to the
guy's and trying to get some pictures of the action but as is always the case the weather had
a different idea and it was either chucking it down with rain or blowing a gale.
Dirk netting one of his 3 fish (in the rain) on his way to 3rd overall
(yes Dirk i'm standing in the rain getting wet)
The venue did not fish anything like it could do and most were struggling to get anything better
than small Rudd to show any interest in their baits.
Some how ever manged to get the Carp to open their mouths a bit.
Wheelchair bound R.Hayes just netted a 2lb+ Carp on his way to 5th overall.
Best fish of the day was this 12lb 2oz Common to G.Evans (on the left) who was 2nd overall
The final result was
1st J.Bennet......29lb 1oz
2nd G.Evans......29lb
3rd D.Williams...14lb 4oz
4th G.Rodregez...8lb 13oz 8drm
5th R.Hayes........7lb 10oz
6th C.Nadolek....6lb 12oz
7th N.Price.........6lb 2oz
All the above got through to the final as 2 of the top 3 had already gained entry with wins in
other qulifier's already fished.
If anybody would like more information on the BDAA their website came be found by

Dave hope the picture's arn't to big i've crunched them as much as i could.
