A couple of months ago i bought the Van den Eynde Carp pellets and some bait bands but haven't used them yet. Thing is it only just occured to me that if I put them on the hook using the bands that they will dissolve in the water and the bait band fall off the hook. So what do you do? Keep checking that the pellet hasn't dissoloved or put a new band on after every cast!!!
Thanks for your help

The bait bands I use (not very often as I'm not too keen on 'Mickey Mouse' fishing!!) have a small lip that the hook goes through rather than putting the hook between the band and pellet. This means the band is on all the time and if you strike and miss it the pellet might go but the band is still on so you just shove another pellet through it.

As for pellets disolving, all the pellets I have used have never disolved.
