must admit i've got both but for everyday feeder work or heavy waggler i think the fighting drag is a fantastic option.

Totally agree my mate i think the fighting drag is absolutly fantastic

Does the fighting drag slacken off enough to be used like a baitrunner?

i suppose it could but it wouldn't be totally freespool.

Slack off the main drag,then do the same to the fighting drag.That is as good as a free spool! Just remember you will require a bit of tension to tighten up,then take it off again. The problem is that when you have a take and pick up your rod you will be suprised how much line has been taken!!!!!!!! before you adjust the drag[:C]
