Blimey - the water was well above that pallet in your first pic. If the whole bottom is like that, no wonder you lose a lot of gear!

Its a manmade pier mate, they used to dock boats up to it. It goes down quite steeply then levels off. Once you get past the stones its quite a clean bottom.

Just shows how impressive both together is doesn’t it 👍🏻

That said I saw that one bloke the other day had 60lb of waggler roach with multiple pounders and a couple two pounders. Dream fishing beyond belief that and wasn’t even in Ireland!
