I was just reading the report of the 10th Avon roach project match and it is a truly amazing job that those guys have done for the roach in that river. Reading how it's gone from people winning their early matches with like a dozen roach with plenty blanking to now pretty much the whole turnout all bagging up with roach of all sizes with five two pounders and a three pounder in one match is almost mind blowing. Plenty of great pleasure catches mentioned most weeks in the angling press as well shows the matches are no fluke. Definitely a incredible achievement in restoring nature in what is still a relatively short time frame. Would love to get down there and fish it myself that's for sure!
