Im now due a new set of scales after managing to drop mine on the garage floor this afternoon (Im still finding bits now!)

I have whittled down my choices to either the Avon London Mk 7 scales (I know they are NLA but have a chance of a new set) or the Reuben Heaton 4000 series.

I think the Avon's would be better suited to my needs (small, light and come highly recommended) although the Reuben's also come highly recommended and are allegedly very very accurate but weigh more than the rest of my tackle put together and don't really suit my roaming needs!

Any input welcome [:)]

i've found that even a large set of scaled can be stowed away quite well and come in far more useful that a smaller set that only read upto 15lb for example. the divisions on them are what matters and i like scaled that go up in 4 or 6 ounce increments.

but then again weighing a dace would be problematic on those!
