I haven't fished paste since I started fishing 40 years ago. Back then it was a disaster as I didn't have a clue how to use it. Thought I would have a crack again after being inspired by our forums. What a cracking way to fish. Landed some right lumps up to about 15Ibs. Lots of lessons learn't. What surprised me the most was just how soft you can make the paste and still keep it on the hook.

Bought a couple of guru paste pots which worked brilliantly. Used some .22 line through to a 12 LWG. Didn't have any proper paste floats, but an NG diamond decker worked fine as it has a pretty long bristle. Really pleased with how my old tournie pro handled the big fish too - never felt undergunned with the power tops and black hydro. Looking fwd to refining my technique with some further sessions.
