If anyone can sort this problem out I'll take my hat off to them as I've just about given up [8D]

In Outlook Express, when I receive an email the time displayed as being received is 8 hours behind GMT. If I check the message headers the server stamp time is correct so it appears to be a problem on my system.

However, if I send an email the time displayed as sent is correct.

I have checked the system settings, double checked, everything else time-related works fine but somewhere I am still losing 8 hours [8)]

Anyone ......?

Ok Dave, I'm making the assumption that you haven't got this sorted yet so.. here goes. [:D]

Basically your timezone is probably set incorrectly (EST from the sound of it!)

Double click the clock in your taskbar and select the Timezone tab, it should obviously
be set for GMT.

What's happening is that the email software is adjusting the times of the emails you're receiving
because they are coming from a different timezone.

I've dug up a page explaining it all for your reading pleasure

Enjoy!
