Ian Heaps, Ken Giles, Kevin and Benny Ashurst and John Dean.
I wondered how long it would take for Ian Heaps and Benny Ashurst to appear, and I'm very happy to see John Dean on the list. One of the greatest river anglers of all time.

Some great names being touted but i would include Dave Roper. In the days before carp and commercials Dave would win massively attended matches(500+) on the local canals and rivers.
A bloodworm specialist but good at waggler and other methods of the day.1985 world champion.

Mark Downes, Dave Roper, Bob Nudd and a character I really would love to meet as his DVD's still bring a smile to my face and thats Dickie Carr. Keith Arthur is another that is good for tips and advice.

Anyone who has won the world champs has to be included👍
I was there that weekend in the mud and the rain at Luddington watching dead sheep that had drown float down the river, parked in a pub car park in Stratford upon Avon sleeping in that back of my Cortina estate

Dennis White, John Bailey, Dave Coster
For a bit of a curved ball how about Kim Milsom , strange character but bloody good angler
All of these were great anglers. I have met John Bailey a few times fishing a private venue. I knew he was a well known angler, but didn't see his work until a couple of years later.
