Hi everyone,
Here's a News snippet that I got earlier which is enough to make your wallets cry:
Angler fined 700 for illegal worm-digging
An Australian court has fined an angler nearly 700 for worm-digging without a licence.
Peter John Russell failed to appear at Wynnum Magistrates Court to face the charge of illegally digging bloodworms.
Officials say the 49-year-old was caught with 400 worms.
The maximum recreational fishermen are allowed to have is 50.
Officials say they suspected him of selling the worms on the black market.
Department of Primary Industries fisheries inspector Michael Mikitis told the AAP news agency: "The worming industry is a very under-rated and valuable industry. When
people think of worms they don't think much of it but they fetch up to $250 (115) a kilo so they're very valuable."
Ouch, Dave
