1st martin brierley 27-07 (4 fish)
2nd barry gore 19-02 (2 fish)
3rd mick bitten 19-00 (1 & largest fish)
4th tim orme 17-12

13th martin scott 9-06 (2 fish 1 @ 5-06 1 @ 4-00)
i also won sect 2 (pegs 51 - 100)
got first & best fish on my third cast with a rapala jionted 6" plug
just after the start & the 2nd came 1hr 30mins later on drifted roach on far bank.
please note the spelling of above names may not be correct as the paper got a few spots of rain on as i come home from my celebratery few last night & got a bit smudged my apologies if any are incorrect

tanks for the results Martin.nice fish to catch especialy when the presure is on.best fish on a lure,that pleases me,have been thinking about entering a few matches,but i only use lures.did
anyone fish using only lures?

sorry about quality but AT was not keen on anyone taking picture
as they were 1 of the sponcers so i had to take it very quickly with no flash but weve got one of the first pictures of the winner

I didn't know pike had dayglo green skin & rappala written down them [:D]

erm just one question, what is a pike??

forgot to mention the winner got 1250 fist place 45 sect
also he recieved about 1000 + of tackle
also i dont know if he had a bet on himself butif he put10 each way on himself he would have got anothr 1000

45 for section prize - it was only 30 when I won it.
Was 10 years ago though
Did you get a prize for finishing 13th - they used to give prizes for first 15 (I finished 16th)

they only pay out first 10 with cash & prizes
sections they paid out first 3 45. 35 & 19 with just 1st getting prize
as there was only 2 of us in our sect that caught the third placed money was split & added to first & second
my actual winnings were 55 + 3 floats,2spools of trace wire, crimps & semi barbless trebles all drennan make(thanks to drennan
for donating some of the prizes)
Also every entrant got a bag on entry containing rapala hat, keyring ,plug & a pewter commemorative pike bage with the year 2001/2 on.

dont forget if any of you want to try & qualify for next years final ive got 6 qualifiers on our river the dates are in the match forum
last season was first for 3 years we didnt have a thirty come out in 1 of our matches the best was 28-03
if anyone lives to far for a day trip ill sort something out for you. most pegs are within 20ft of parking
