A word of thanks

Hi All

I have some good news to post for once.[]

As some of you may remember Izaak Waltons cottage was under threat of closure due to falling visitor numbers etc.[]

I have today been informed by a friend from the council that the cottage will now be remaining open due to a sudden "surge" in visitor numbers & a sh*t load of letters, e-mails etc the council recieved in protest at the closure.

I would just like to say a big Thank you to anyone from this site that contacted the council or even made the trip to visit the cottage.

One of (in my opinion) anglings greatest treasures has been saved []
