I haven't fished it for a few years since moving away from the northeast but it used to be very good fishing, the one near the road is ok but lots of smaller fish, nice in the summer for an easy day fishing but for the larger roach (best I had was 1lb 10oz) I found the southern Res the best, a bit of a walk but worth it, most methods work and maggot/ caster is a good starting point bait wise with red worm worth a go also, find a peg with a bit of depth in front of you and fish the slider it's great fun. However most people chuck a feeder out
