My first car was a Morris 1300 in a purple colour. Lovely car which was taken in PX at mums friends garage.

I don't think pictures exist as I wrapped it around a tree a couple of months after I got it

i had a hillman imp which was later traded in for a vauxhall victor.
the victor was quite a large car and subsequently drank fuel.
i went onto buying a mark 3 imp.
pretty nippy..

Moggy van then another moggy van then the traveller cheap as chips to run but would have been better if they had been rust proof.[:D][:T]

My Imp had a 3/4 race tuned engine in, uprate driveshafts, RAC spec suspension, front radiator, and a host of other changes - I thought it was the dogs danglies and it would beat a lot of cars off the lights, and more, until one day I got my arse well and truly whipped by another Imp []
The owner stopped further down the road and it turned out he'd got a 3.0 litre Ford V6 engine mid mounted in it ffs [:D]

I had a Ford Anglia, side valve engine with a 3 speed box ,wipers driven of the engine vacuum.
Drove you nuts going uphill. Followed that with a Riley 1.5,twin Carbs, B******dy rot box. Mate had a Hillman Imp, put it in a ditch, forgot his engine was in the rear and the car was front end light. No bag of sand in the boot at the front to hold it down and help the steering. Tried to corner full throttle.Failed.

I'd had my shell and front wishbones strengthened, then the whole car lightened and balanced which included several buckets of concrete poured into the front end to get the desired effect [:D]

One lad had a Wolsely 4/44 ,had a wonderful exhaust note on it. Not modified, just sounded
nice. Another had a Ford 105E Anglia, Peko booster exhaust. That thing went faster in third than
it ever did in fourth gear. Changed that for a Merc 190, that thing drank fuel like a truck. Good days when we are younger.
