As a lot of members know Maggotdrowning.com is run as 'not for profit' and we have always maintained that the site will remain free for all.
In order to do this we use advertising to gain revenue plus the invaluable Site Support from our members to cover our running costs,

Your Support is invaluable as it goes a long way to meeting the day to day running costs of Maggotdrowning.com without which this website would not survive. In return we offer all Site Supporters the following benefits

  • No Banner adverts or Google Ads between posts in threads
  • Free to enter Competitions
  • Access to 'The Golden Peg' section of the Forums
  • Signatures allowed where Pictures and Links can be displayed
  • Ability to add 'Status' to mini profile at side of forum posts
  • Additional user permissions and tools
  • Priority entry to Maggotdrowning.com sanctioned events
  • A Warm glow knowing that you're helping to support the site

If you would like to Support Maggotdrowning.com please click your Name at the top right of the forums and then click the 'Account upgrades' link

Within there you will see two options

  • Site Support - 12 Months £10.00 for 12 months

  • Site Support - 3 Months £3.00 for 3 months
Simply select the option and click 'Purchase'

All this for less than 20p a week :D

Thankyou for your Support

To show appreciation for all of Dave's recent work on the upgrade and the speed at which he has resolved mine and others problems, I've finally chipped in.

If a tenner a year was compulsory I wonder how many would actually pay. After all its peanuts really for what you can get out of the site.

Probably only the same people that pay now.
You cannot blame those that use the site and do not subscribe if it's not mandatory, as that's just human nature.
It is galling though when they then post about buying £1500 poles.

Let's not go there Phoenixicus, suffice to say that you can tell who don't when you go fishing.
It's the squeek from their arse cheeks as the walk past. :p

£10 is Less than you will spend on a day's Fishing with ticket/membership bait and transport costs and that's just for one day's Fishing a tenner on MD's gives you the site and information and all the help you want For 365 days of the year.

Its the best value for money you can buy. The "entertainment" value is second to none and the people are just brilliant.
The information is mostly honest and straight forward and always helpful. Magic site.:)

It is now possible to extend a current Site Support account upgrade....

Simply click your username top-right of the forum and select 'Account upgrades'...

Then click the 'Extend' button alongside your existing Site Support upgrade...

That's all there is to it, and there is no limit to the number of times you can do so :)

Any problems let me know
