Maybe we can expect guillemots, puffins, etc to join their cousin cormorant in search of food on inland fisheries?

If only fish were fluffy huggy things.
In the late seventies/early eighties Russian and Polish mega-trawlers came into Falmouth Bay and Mounts Bay to plunder the Mackerel shoals. There's still loads of Mackeral but nothing like what there was back then. These bloody extinction Rebellion idiots should focus their collective attention on boats like that.

There are two flaws to this line of thinking; firstly these boats are usually outside 12 miles and are therefore in EU waters and secondly they are fishing entirely legally within the rules of the CFP – which we will still have to be at least shadowing even if we do Brexit."
