Unless there's some prolonged spells of rain in mid Wales, the river will still be pretty low and clear.
It's worth checking out the weather and river levels in places like Llanidloes and Welshpool. They'll give you more of an idea of what's to come down in the Middle and Lower.

Think I got the wrong peg today at Arley. I walked a bit too far downstream on the RB. It goes a bit deeper down there. Total blank. Fish were in the shallows I think.

Harder again at Quatford today. Nine barbel between four of us although to be fair one of us had a day on the float for a load of dace and roach. None of the bigger roach showed though. I never had a bite until 4.30 and then two in half an hour

Well done bezzer and runner, was just up the road from you today at the danery. Needed a short walk and wooden peg as my first venture out after a fall.
Very slow day and the first fish to the net was a pike of about 8lb on luncheon meat, hook right in the corner of mouth and held bottom for a short period. Second was a lovely 7lb barbel and the only two bites I had, short session and the boy is back slowly.

Back to Knowlesands today, better but not as good as might have been expected given a bit of colour coming in and a small rise in the level. Thirteen barbel between four of us, three of them for me at random intervals plus two roach around a pound each and a chub.

Well, after our worst result in 20 years from Knowlesands on Sunday we topped it with our worst ever from the Brook today. Down to our hard core of three for today and tomorrow , only four barbel and three chub between us and our barbel specialist blanked. All on good swims as well. I had two chub first two chucks, then nothing. Set up stick to trot a 4 mil pellet for the roach, had half a dozen or so and then a barbel about 4 lb. Half an hour later took feeder off and dropped bomb down the float line and had another smaller barbel and that was it, not another bite. No idea why it was so hard after it fished well on Monday

Back to quatford for our last day, and a bit better, 15 barbel between the three of us ( six for me) and some lovely roach especially when switched to 4 mils on the hook.
Total well down on the last couple of years but good company, beer and food and a lovely part of the country. Can’t ask for much else.

Well done Runner, it is getting harder all round and needs to be addressed by the EA. Three is a good day now and it is often one or two, glad you had fish at the end but certain areas are being allowed to edge on the minus side in the area of conservation and the anti sport brigade have the the balance in their favour.
