It's ok but not a patch on the original with Hoffman and McQueen.
Last few weeks I've been to the flicks a few times (Thanks to my Meerkat) and have seen the following -
Ad Astra. Thoroughly enjoyed this. I'm quite a fan of Brad Pitt and he was excellent. The Special effects are as good as any I've seen recently. A good pace to the film and a great story.
Joker. Wow, I wasn't expecting it to be so good. It's moody, dark, shocking and Joaquin Phoenix does a great job although not as dark or nasty as Heath Ledger.
Once upon a time in Hollywood. I was expecting great things with this from Tarantino. However, it's meandering, slow, too long and over indulgent. The woman in the seat in front of me fell asleep Having said that, DiCaprio and Pitt were brilliant. If you've not heard of Sharon Tate, some of the things might go over your head. The last 15 minutes are hilarious! Old school Tarantino.
Downton Abbey and Judy.............. Well, I have to accompany Mrs B to some of the things she wants to see. In short, DA was like a Christmas Special and Judy had lots of singing, crying and soul searching by Ms G.
Hotel Mumbai. this is both shocking and uplifting. Based on the events of the attacks on Mumbai in 2008 it's set in the Taj Hotel and the events leading up to during and after the attack. Dev Patel is again brilliant, I don't think I've seen him in bad film yet.
Gemini Man and Terminator: Dark Fate in the next 2 weeks. Both look pretty good in the trailers.......
Love and enjoy all of Hitchcocks films. Especially watching out for the great man himself.
